Youth, Art and Circular Practices for the Revitalisation of the Old Bitola Bazaar

Aurora Network is proud to launch a new project bringing together young people, creativity, and care for the environment in the historic Old Bitola Bazaar.

Project concept

“Youth, Art and Circular Practices for the Revitalisation of the Old Bitola Bazaar” brings together more than 40 young people from Bitola to transform waste into art, turning the Old Bazaar into a space carrying a message of ecology and inspiration.

What we are doing

The project educates high school students on circular economy and waste sorting, involves collecting and sorting waste directly in the Bazaar, creates art installations from recycled materials, and revitalises a public street with a visible environmental message.

Impact and multiplier effect

Twenty trained youth ambassadors will go on to influence twenty more peers, creating a multiplier effect across the community, because change spreads. The project takes place at the Old Bitola Bazaar and is supported by the project “Civil Society and Youth for Inclusive and Sustainable Development through Circular Economy in North Macedonia,” funded by the European Union.
