About Aurora Network

About us.

Aurora Network is a youth-led organisation based in Bitola, North Macedonia, working locally and across Europe with young people and youth workers. Since 2024, we have been creating learning spaces where creativity, nature and community come together to support personal growth, well-being and active participation in society.

We believe young people thrive when they are given space to express themselves, connect with others and actively shape the communities they live in. Our work is rooted in non-formal education, creative practice and community engagement, with a strong focus on inclusion, participation and meaningful learning.

Aurora Network brings together youth workers, artists, educators and young people to co-create projects that respond to real community needs and contribute to more inclusive, resilient and sustainable societies.

Youth Empowerment & Participation

We design and implement projects that empower young people to actively participate in their communities, develop confidence and take ownership of social change through non-formal education and youth-led initiatives.

Creativity, Art & Culture

We use art-based and creative methods, including visual arts, movement and storytelling, as tools for learning, self-expression and intercultural dialogue in local and European youth projects.

Well-being & Nature-Based Learning

We create safe and supportive learning spaces that combine well-being practices, outdoor activities and nature-based approaches to support mental health, personal growth and resilience among young people.

Our Approach

We design and deliver youth projects, trainings and community initiatives that respond to the real needs young people face today. Our work brings together non-formal education, creative expression, nature-based learning and intercultural dialogue to support learning beyond classrooms and borders.

Through youth exchanges, training courses, local activities and partnerships, we support young people to develop skills, confidence and a strong sense of belonging — both locally and internationally.

At Aurora Network, young people are not passive participants, but active co-creators of the spaces, processes and change they want to see.

Mission

Our mission is to support the personal and professional growth of young people through non-formal education, creative practice and nature-based learning. We create inclusive and participatory spaces where young people can develop skills, confidence and a strong sense of belonging.

Vision

We envision a world where young people actively shape their communities, guided by creativity, solidarity and a strong connection to nature. A world where learning is meaningful, well-being is prioritised and young voices are valued.

Values

  • Integrity – We act with honesty, responsibility and transparency

  • Equality – We promote inclusion, accessibility and equal opportunities

  • Solidarity – We believe in cooperation, care and shared responsibility
