From 19 to 25 August, our participants took part in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange „Take a Walk II“ in the Alpe Devero mountains in northern Italy. It was not a typical youth exchange: for a whole week, the group travelled on foot.

A week on foot

Participants carried their own backpacks and hiked between different locations, staying in campsites, hostels, bungalows and self-managed houses along the way.

Slow and sustainable travel

„Take a Walk II“ brought together young people from different countries who were ready to step outside their comfort zone and discover the values of slow and sustainable tourism. Along the journey, they reconnected with nature, learned outdoor education skills, experienced community living as an international group, and explored the positive impact nature has on personal and emotional well-being.
